Duck and Cover has gotten their hands on a bunch of new screenshots from Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming Fallout: New Vegas.

The game will be the fourth installment in the fantastic franchise that last delivered one of the greatest games ever made in Fallout 3, which was released in the Fall of 2008. This new adventure returns us to post-apocalyptic Las Vegas, and to a familiar area for fans of the first two games, which were set out west.

Throw on your vault jumpsuit, grab an ice cold Nuka Cola, and head on over to check out the new screenshots!

Obsidian was founded by many members of Black Isle Studios, who created Fallout and Fallout 2 for Interplay. Back then, Interplay Entertainment owned the property and when some complications arose in the relationship, they were forced to lay everyone at Black Isle off. Eventually, Bethesda acquired all of the rights to the Fallout franchise, and contracted Obsidian to develop this new title. Bethesda developed the best-in-series third game themselves, but will just be publishing Fallout: New Vegas this time around. [...]

Kick-Ass is one of the most-anticipated movies in a long time; the promising mixture of a unique superhero story and an abundance of gore and profanity is music to the ears of fanboys everywhere.

The movie is based on the popular comics by Mark Millar and John S. Romita Jr., and it is directed by Matthew Vaughn. Even more appealing is the story of what Vaughn has gone through to get this movie made after studios bolted at the thought of a young girl swearing like a trucker and slaughtering bad guys left and right (Read: Behold The Wrath Of Hit-Girl: Watch The ‘Kick-Ass’ Red Band Trailer NOW!). But after all the effort was put in, and there was footage to be seen, studios battled to acquire it with Lionsgate eventually winning the rights to the film, which was also written by Vaughn and Jane Goldman.

Kick-Ass is finally about to make its debut at the upcoming SXSW film festival, and in celebration of its unveiling, Lionsgate has released a collection of four new posters being used together as one massive outdoor banner. [...]

I'm going to be blunt with you for a moment. Recently, I finally was able to watch Twilight (which waited until New Moon was almost on freakin' DVD before it even got to Showtime!) for the very first time.

Being someone who has a sixth sense that allows me to get a pretty good vibe from movies based on their trailers, my expectations were not very high. I was, however, full of hope that this vampire phenomena would somehow surprise me and turn out to be a good time.

It was not.

This is obviously all just my own personal opinion, but frankly, Twilight was one of the messiest, slapped-together-to-make-billions-off-of-a-popular-book-series movies I've ever seen. I think it could have been a hell of a lot better with a different director and some different casting, but that wasn't the case. There was nothing compelling about it, the acting was completely forced, and the situations were so unbearably awkward that I literally felt like I needed to take out my cell phone and fake-text people in order to "get away" from it all.
The very first new trailer for Neil Marshall's Centurion has been released via IGN.

The movie takes place in 117 A.D. and tells the story of Rome's Ninth Legion, who set off on a major mission to find and destroy the leader of the Picts and anyone who tries to stop them. But when the Picts spring a trap on them and take the Legion's general captive, one remaining Roman soldier must take just a few men and find a way to stop the Picts once and for all.

The movie reunites stars Dominic West and Michael Fassbender, who appeared together in another epic battle movie: 300. West plays captured General Virilus, while Fassbender plays Quintus Dias, a survivor of the ambush who is trapped deep within the enemy's boundaries. The movie also stars Hitman and Quantum of Solace leading lady Olga Kurylenko as a Pict warrior whose tongue was removed by the Romans after they killed her entire family. This character would seem to point to one of those cases where we the viewers will not be sure who to pull for. [...]

I've been lucky enough to get to visit the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in California several times in my life. Each time I've gone had been an amazing, fun experience that always leaves me looking forward to my next visit. Since I've been attending Comic-Con in San Diego for the last few years, I make it a point to unwind from my five-day hectic Con coverage with a few days of fun at Los Angeles-area theme parks, my first stop always being USH.

When I talk about visiting theme parks, a lot of people get confused, not knowing the difference between Disney and Universal. Let me straighten all that out before I get into my USH trip report.

There's Disney World in Orlando, FL, which had four main theme park areas: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney-MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom. It's the MGM park that typically gets confused with Universal Studios -- but they are totally separate parks owned by different companies.

Disneyland is in Anaheim, CA, and had two theme park -- Magic Kingdom and Californialand -- along with Downtown Disney (there's also a Downtown Disney area at Disney World).

Universal Studios also has cross-country counterparts: Universal Studios Orlando in Florida has two theme parks -- Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure -- and Universal Studios Hollywood in California, which only has one Universal Studios park. Both locations have a Citywalk area.

Ok, now that I've gotten out of the way, I'll move on to my trip report for Universal Studios Hollywood [...]

No one denies how good the movies that Judd Apatow directs tend to be, but many great comedies that have his name attached to them are ones that he is in the role of producer on.

One of the Apatow-produced films that won many hearts and much laughter was of course Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Now, many of the talents that made that film are set to bring us another called Get Him to the Greek, and you can see the first official trailer, poster, and synopsis right here.

The movie stars Russell Brand and Jonah Hill, and it tells the story of a young record label up-and-comer who has to find a way to get an unruly rock star from London to a comeback concert date in Los Angeles. Get Him to the Greek is also directed by Sarah Marshall helmer Nicholas Stoller, which is actually pretty fitting. Considering the synopsis of this movie, those involved, and people like Brand's character in Sarah Marshall, it feels almost more like sequel or spinoff movie than its own film, and that could be a lot of fun in its own right.

Bridges is reprising his role of Kevin Flynn and his video game avatar Clu from the 1982 glowing neon Tron universe, and his participation in the multi-decade anticipated sequel has had fans buzzing with excitement. The actor is joined in this new electronic adventure by young up-and-coming stars Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde, who play Flynn's son Sam, and Quorra, respectively.

Mr. Jeff Bridges is currently having a good day. The actor was given an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his work in the movie Crazy Heart. The role has already snagged him numerous awards, including a shiny new Golden Globe.

We've all come to terms with the fact that any old cartoons we grew up with and love will eventually receive an updated CGI makeover and a run on the Silver Screen. So many have already been through this process -- Alvin and the Chipmunks, Garfield, and Marmaduke, to name a few -- and none have been very well-accepted...so far.

Another of these CGI re-inventions is of everyone's favorite little blue creatures: The Smurfs, and while it is very grainy and black and white, UGO has gotten their hands on the first peek of what our dearest Smurfs will look like in computerized form. I personally did not see it when it happened, but apparently a posted leaked a while back for the movie, and that had a Smurf on it as well, but the two look nothing alike.

Continue on to the bottom of the post to check out this first image of what we can expect to see in The Smurfs. [...]

It's been a long, dark road for the Universal Pictures re-imagining of their own classic monster icon in The Wolfman. Though many troubles were faced on this path, the movie is now only a couple of short weeks away from being unleashed upon us, and the studio is on the prowl to try and get folks truly excited.

Among the goodies being released this week, a couple of new posters and images are here to peek at. One of the posters is your basic movie one-sheet that you'll see on walls and in movie theaters, while the other is a special limited edition poster from Basil Gogos that looks more like a homage to the '40s monster than this new creation. Both posters are worth a glance if you're into that sorta thing. As for images, there is quite a few making their rounds today -- some of which you've probably seen, while others will be new. We've included a few of the new images below.

Head over to the other side to read a synopsis and witness the rest of these new images and posters. [...]

The first teaser trailer for Oliver Stone's much-anticipated sequel Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is now online courtesy of IMDB.

The sequel comes 23 years after the 1987 original, Wall Street, which starred Michael Douglas as a financial master with questionable techniques who mentors and grooms a young new hot shot (Charlie Sheen) in the world of stocks. Douglas returns in the sequel after going to prison for a long time and ready to groom yet another young gun stockbroker (Shia LaBeouf) who just so happens to be engaged to his daughter (Carey Mulligan).

The teaser trailer is very well done and will get you excited for seeing a long trailer and the movie itself. You can immediately get a sense for the humor that Stone is going to bring to the table, and the natural humor that will come from someone like Douglas's Gordon Gekko being re-released back into a wild that is absolutely NOTHING like the wild that he was once king of.
If you haven't heard of the new movie, The Crazies, then this is your chance to overload on imagery, trailers, and a fat and juicy synopsis to fill your brain with the ingredients necessary to decide if this movie is indeed for you!

The movie is actually a remake of a 1973 George A. Romero film of the same name. It takes place in your normal, everyday small town where everyone knows each other and gets along fine before some sort of mysterious toxin is released into the water supply. For those who are affected by the toxin, they slowly lose their grasp on sanity at first, and develop a violent nature. Before long, they go completely insane and want nothing but to kill everything that moves.

It's no surprise that the movie has come from the brain of George Romero...it certainly has the "zombies with a twist" vibe to it much like The Signal. It also has a kind of The Happening feel to it, but certainly looks like it could be a hell of a lot better than that was! [...]

Of Pixar's constant flow of brilliant movies, Cars is probably the least liked of the bunch. So when it was announced that they were actually making a Cars 2, this came as a bit of a surprise to many, especially considering that Pixar usually has nothing to do with sequels aside from the Toy Story franchise. Of their library, the top choice for a sequel would probably have been The Incredibles, which is naturally built for multiple installments.

But alas, it is Cars 2 that is on the way, and the very first piece of concept art has now been released onto the internet, and you can head to the bottom of this very post to check it out now!

Not many details for Cars 2 are known at the moment. What we do know is that all of the characters are set to return, and this time Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) will be involved in an intense race around the world, while Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) rescues a secret agent and gets mixed up in the world of spies.
Some new goodies have been released from Tron: Legacy, The Walt Disney Company's much-anticipated sequel to their 1982 classic, Tron.

Said goodies include a shiny new publicity image that has been released, and in an interview with MTV, director Joseph Kosinski shared some new details on the characters in the movie, whether the film will play in IMAX, and if this is the beginning of a brand new franchise.

Tron: Legacy is still almost a year away from its December 2010 release, but they're certainly staying in the public eye and maintaining attention so far. We shall see how that all holds up over the next ten months or so!

The image above was release a while back, but is still fun to check out if you have not seen it. Click on over to the other side to see the brand new publicity image and read some quotes from Kosinski.

The only real story details that the director offered were in regard to Jeff Bridges' characters, which of course are his same characters from the original film. Only this time, the computerized version of him will be a little more intelligent. [...]

A collection of behind the scenes images of the set of the Robert Rodriguez produced and Nimród Antal directed reboot, Predators, have found their way onto the web.

In the images, you'll see a lot of the cast including Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Oleg Taktarov, Alice Braga, and others. You'll also get a little peek at some of the Predators themselves, though it must be kept in mind that these are grainy, low-quality images and this isn't what the elusive creatures will look like when they're ultra-enhanced with digital texture glory!

Looking at these, I have to assume that maybe it was Mr. Taktarov's camera? He's in most of the images you'll see, and in the ones he isn't, I found myself wondering if he was behind the lens. Taktarov is a former UFC and mixed martial arts champion who has done a few movies before, like 15 Minutes and Bad Boys II.

Head on over to the other side to check out some of the set images and head over to AvP Galaxy to see many more. [...]

This particular photo set resonates deep down to my geeky core, as I played many a long, frostbitten day out on the snowy tundra of 'Hoth' (by way of Brooklyn, NY) as a kid, IG-88 & Darth Vader figures in hand and Han Solo in my heart. The set is enhanced by Avanaut's decently witty titles and captions, and the random insertion of one Dr. Henry Jones. Per his recommendation I encourage you to use the 'view on white/black' option when looking at each photo for maximum immersion and enjoyment [...]

Recently we shared a couple of new images from ABC's Lost that showed the cast replicating Leonardo da Vinci's famed "The Last Supper" painting. This along with shows like Battlestar Galactica (seen above) and House have made it quite apparent that this was a popular thing to do whilst promoting your show. As it turns out, this happens all the time, and Jeremy from Culture Popped was able to point us to a ton of them to check out.

Among the many variations you will find many popular TV shows and movies and brand name characters. Titles like The Simpsons, Star Wars, M.A.S.H., South Park, and The Sopranos appear along with Walt Disney characters and brand characters from McDonalds and everything in between, all showing off their very own "Last Supper" renditions. Some are very well-done and worth seeing while others are basic and passable.

Click on over to the other side to check out a few of our favorite "Last Supper" parodies, and be sure to head over to Culture Popped where you can see an insane amount of these images all in one convenient location.
Director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) has released plenty of teasing behind the scenes images from his upcoming adaptation of the popular Bryan Lee O'Malley graphic novel Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, but now you can check out two brand new official images from the film.

The first image is of the film's cast standing next to each other while the other image is rather trippy and shows what appears to be someone running sideways with an awesome flaming sword. Both images are sure to extract pure elation from all of the Scott Pilgrim fans who have yet to get a peek at their favorite comic come to life.

While I could summarize the basic premise here, it's probably best said by the official Scott Pilgrim website:

Scott Pilgrim is 23 years old, living in the big city with his gay roommate, just trying to get by in this crazy world. He's in a band. He's lazy. He likes video games.

Scott Pilgrim likes the new girl in town, Ramona Flowers, but to win her heart, he has to defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends. Seven! Evil! Ex! Boyfriends! Lucas has muscles! Todd plays bass with his psychic powers! The Twins are twins! Matthew Patel is an Indian guy! AND MORE! [...]

ABC has released a couple of interesting images for the start of the final season of Lost, which begins on February 2, 2010. The images use the popular promotional tactic of taking your show's cast and recreating Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper" painting (in this case it has to be called "The Lost Supper," just because), which as you know, featured Jesus Christ in the center, surrounded by his apostles before he was crucified.

In this case, we're looking at two images that were released, and as with anything related to Lost, we are all wondering if anything that we are looking at is a hint to the mysteries we wish to know the answers to oh-so-badly. Both images show the cast sitting at a table and enjoying a nice Dharma Initiative dinner. John Locke is sitting right in the middle of it all, which interestingly dresses him as Jesus...or at least god-like. The rest of the crew is around him and in the first image (seen above -- click to go large), they're all staring right at Locke. [...]
