Lucas Busy Writing Star Wars TV Show!
  |  @   |

We might just see that “Star Wars” TV show — in about a year and a half. George Lucas has reportedly agreed to write a 100-episode series that will take place between “Revenge of the Sith” and the original “Star Wars” movie.

Producer Scott McCallum recently told Empire Online, “That’s not going to happen probably for another year and a half while we develop scripts and everything else. But it’s fantastic; we’ve got some incredible writers. It’s going to be much darker, much more character-based, and I think it’s going to be everything the fans always wanted the prequels to be. They’ll be one-hour episodes. It’s going to be all-new characters, maybe a few bounty hunters in there to start the series off.”

Shooting is expected to begin next year.

For those of you who can?t wait that long for a “Star Wars” TV show, here’s a link to that wonderfully dreadful 1978 Holiday Special.

  5. Wow, I think thats big news and I know I’m going to watch it with my fingers crossed. Could this lead to more sequels?

SIDE NOTE: I’m sure everyone noticed the Millenium Falcon in Episode 3. It is landing in the lower docking bay on Coruscant at the same time Ben and Anakin are just after rescuing the Senator and just before meeting Padme.

  6. I hope producer *Scott* McCallum doesn’t help screw this up as badly as Rick McCallum did.
