Captain America Cameo Cut From ‘Incredible Hulk’
  |  @   |

Just a few days ago, Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier said that we might see a Captain America cameo in the upcoming film. Though, people who attended advanced screenings of The Incredible Hulk said Cap was nowhere to be found.

Now, Leterrier ‘fessed up to SOS Hollywood that the Captain America scene was actually cut from the final theatrical version because it was “was a very dark and strong scene” that was “considered to be too hard to young audiences to take.” But Cap’s cameo will surface somewhere on the Internet this week, as well as on the eventual DVD release.

Below is the excerpt from the SOS Hollywood interview, where Leterrier describes the cut scene [SPOILERS].

“There’s a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decide to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else’s considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we’ve cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD.”

Yesterday, Collider reported that Leterrier told them that the there will be 70 minutes of additional footage on The Incredible Hulk‘s Blu-Ray DVD release.

  1. If you think about it, the syrum they give Roth’s character is probably the same syrum they use to make Captain America. I heard it was a “hidden” appearance. Roth’s abilities in the film are very similar to Captain America’s. I’m sure Steve Roger as a character made an appearance. If Cap was it in why didn’t they just have him fight the Hulk instead of giving Roth the syrum?
