Video: Sarah Palin & Mark Walhberg Strike Back on ‘SNL’!

After weeks of being lampooned on Saturday Night Live by Tina Fey, Gov. Sarah Palin finally struck back with her own appearance on the late night comedy show. Meanwhile, it only took one small skit about him to make Max Payne star Mark Wahlberg strike back. Below are the videos of these appearances from last night’s show.

Whether or not you agree with the Vice Presidential hopeful’s political platform (I sure don’t), you have to admit, she’s a charismatic lady (who’s probably better off going into showbiz, but that’s just my opinion). The Alaska governor first popped up during the show’s opening scene, where she watched from backstage, along with the show’s producer Lorne Michaels. Then, out pops Fey’s 30 Rock co-star Alec Baldwin, who recently did his own impression of Palin.

Between Fey and Baldwin, I would have loved to get a behind-the-scenes look at the rehearsal for this episode! Later on in the show, Palin came back for a stint on the “Weekend Update” with Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers segment, where she was the subject of a Poehler-performed rap (made even funnier by the fact that Poehler is very pregnant and looks like she’s about to give birth any minute now).

But Mark Wahlberg, who was the focus two weeks ago of an Andy Samberg skit where he talks to animals, struck back even harder, acting like he was going give Samberg a beatdown. What Wahlberg — who undoubtedly agreed to come on so he could plug his new movie Max Payne which opened this weekend — did do was so much better. Check out the video of the Sanberg/Wahlberg exchange and if you didn’t see the original “Mark Wahlberg Talks To Animals” skit, that’s here below too.
