Seth Rogen’s ‘Green Hornet’ Will Start At The Beginning
  |  @   |

In an interview with MTV, Seth Rogen let the world know that due to the severe lack of fans, The Green Hornet will start at the beginning and cover the origins of the Hornet and his pal Kato.

Rogen will be writing the script with Evan Goldberg and producing as well as supposedly playing Britt Reid. He also went to far away lands to grab the begging-to-be international star Stephen Chow to direct the flick and star as Kato.

No one gives a shit. There was, like, three people [who care about ‘Hornet’]. It [had to be] somewhat of [an origin story then]. We didn’t intend it to be one, but we realized that no one knows anything about the Green Hornet, and it actually became more confusing than anything that we didn’t include somewhat of an origin story. We realized through people being very confused with our screenplay that we should probably include somewhat of an origin in it.

The project is in its earliest of stages, so we have a long way to go, but it is happening and moving, so that’s the plus!

  1. This project makes me so happy, I grew up listening to old cassettes of the Green Hornet and other old time detectives. While I don’t neccessarily think of Seth Rogen when I think of the Green Hornet, I’m glad the character is being revived at all. As long as they do it well, I’ll be happy. Then maybe we can get a real The Shadow movie.

  2. This is a joke, right? This is worse that time rumors were spreading that Kevin Smith wanted to direct Spiderman 4 and all the comic book nerds had a massive cult suicide in Montana. It can only end bad.

  3. Sounds like this turd will be in the $3 DVD bin at Wal-Mart in less than 6 months after release!

Only 3 fans? Way to go to tick off the loyal supporters of the character. Of course honesty has never been a strong suit of Seth’s. I mean first its an action film then its a Comedy/Action like Lethal Weapon then its just a comedy. Does he know what he is doing or is he just flying by the seat of his pants?

  4. Seth Rogen will deface the genre inspiring, and long cherished image of the Green Hornet.
The Hornet is an icon. He’s the foundation, and the very epitome of the vigilante action hero. It’s unfair to future Hornet fans to imply that this character was ever anything but deadly serious. If after Rogen’s blatant mockery of a film there even are any.

STOP HOLLYWOOD, AND OTHER HACKS LIKE SETH ROGEN FROM TRIVIALIZING CLASSIC ART! SPEAK OUT LOUD AND SPEAK UP OFTEN!
