‘Forbidden Planet’ Remake Finds A Writer
  |  @   |

Forbidden Planet is one of those projects you hear about that’s been attached to so many names and so many studios, you just don’t know what’s what anymore. Currently, however, the remake-revision of the 1956 sci-fi movie is trying to get going again with J. Michael Straczynski hired to write the script.

Straczynski wrote the new Clint Eastwood movie Changeling, but does have a background in the world of science fiction, having created Babylon 5 and is working on multiple other projects including the Wachowski Brothers’ Ninja Assassin.

The 1956 Forbidden Planet follows an expedition to a far away planet to check on a team of scientists. They find two of them, a doctor, his daughter and a man who discovered an alien technology that has doubled his level of intelligence. It’s being produced by Joel Silver.

  1. OMG, that would be cool.

I think the important question is: Who would play Altaira? And would she be as hot in colour as in black and white?
