New ‘Star Trek’ Black and White Character Posters
  |  @   |

Paramount has released two new character posters for Star Trek (STXI) featuring black and white images of Zachary Quinto as Spock and Chris Pine as James Kirk.

Paramount’s official Star Trek site also has wallpaper versions of these two new posters available now for download in various sizes.

The JJ Abrams Trek prequel hits theaters May 8, 2009, with the first theatrical trailer running in theaters this coming weekend in front of showings of the new James Bond film Quantum of Solace.

The official site has also added a countdown clock for when the new trailer will be online in HD (6 more days!).

Earlier this week, AICN posted two spy reports on the upcoming theatrical trailer. The reports are that we’ll see the half human/half Vulcan young Spock being picked on, as well as a young Kirk shout his name — “James Tiberius Kirk!” — after getting into trouble with the law. Aside from seeing their much younger version, we’ll also see them as cadets in Starfleet along with McCoy, possibly Uhura, and what looks like a space battle. Check out the full report for more details.
