‘Get Smart’ Director Peter Segal To Helm ‘Captain Marvel’ Movie
  |  @   |

Partners Peter Segal and Michael Ewing from Callahan Filmworks have been signed to a three-movie first-look deal at Warner Bros. and one of the movies that they’ll be doing is a take on Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel from DC Comics follows a teenager who speaks the word “Shazam” and becomes the superhero.

Segal just directed Get Smart and is in line for the sequel as well. He’s also done movies like Tommy Boy and The Longest Yard remake.

  3. Balls!

I saw the picture and was hyped. Mar-vell and Genis-vell (the latter especially) are two of my favorite comic heroes ever. DC’s Captain Marvel…not so much. This is the biggest dissappointment I’ve had since I found out that Cookie Monster wasn’t real.

  4. I know, when I first read this I thought it was a DIFFERENT movie because Segal said along time ago that he was going to do a Captain Marvel/Shazam movie. But I see now that it’s the same movie, but that he’s got a three-picture deal with WB.
