Orlando Bloom To Try His Hand At Sci-Fi With ‘The Cross’

The Movie God   |  @   |

Bloom

It’s being reported that Orlando Bloom will be stepping into the world of science fiction for The Cross, which will be directed by Andrew Niccols (Lord of War).

The Cross will be set in the very near future and follows Bloom’s character as he attempts to do what no other has, and cross this incredibly mysterious border.

The movie also stars Vincent Cassel (Eastern Promises, Brotherhood of the Wolf) as a guard who is determined to stop Bloom from crossing, and Olga Kurylenko (Hitman, Quantum of Solace) as the “female lead” — or eye candy, if you will.

No word on what exactly this mysterious line is or where it goes — just that it’s going to get crossed, one way or another.

The movie is being multi-produced by different foreign studios; one being Bluewater Pictures in Sydney, Australia, another is Spangherabero Films in Paris, France, and the last is Opal Film Produktion in Berlin, Germany.
