Christopher Nolan will direct Inception from an original script that he wrote. As we saw after Batman Begins, it seems to be Nolan’s style to do something a little different in between; last time it was The Prestige and this time he’ll follow-up The Dark Knight with this new original project, which is being described as “…a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.”
This movie will be through Warner Brothers, which makes plenty of sense considering how many countless millions and billions he’s brought to them through various projects, including both Batman movies, The Prestige, and Insomnia.
Everyone is itching for the sequel to The Dark Knight and the third movie in the franchise, but we have to keep in mind that there were three years between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, so let Mr. Nolan do his thing and we’ll just have to wait patiently for him to hopefully construct the next great Batman flick.
Christopher Nolan has hopes to begin filming this summer with a release some time in 2010. If this works out — at best case scenario — we could maybe see the sequel to The Dark Knight moving forward in late 2010.
