Megan Fox Boards Two Comic-Based Projects In ‘Jonah Hex’ & ‘Fathom’
  |  @   |

Megan Fox is definitely making an effort at becoming the ultimate fanboy fantasy girl. It’s being reported that Fox is in final negotiations to star in Jonah Hex, and that she is already attached to star in and develop a movie based on the comic Fathom.

Fox’s role in Jonah Hex would be that of Leila, the beautiful, but deadly love interest of Josh Brolin‘s Jonah Hex. The movie follows Jonah Hex, a horribly scarred Civil War soldier who spends his days as a bounty hunter. Hex also stars John Malkovich as the villain character. It’s directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears A Who!).

Fathom is an ongoing comic from the late Michael Turner. The comic follows a young girl named Aspen, who grows up with a strange attraction to water. She eventually discovers that she’s actually a special aquatic race of humans who can control water, called the Blue. Along with playing the role of Aspen, Megan Fox is helping to develop the project as well. Fathom‘s script is being handled by Jordan Mechner, who created the game Prince of Persia.

To give a basic idea of how popular the Fathom property was in Hollywood at one time — James Cameron was even once looking to make it.
