Video: ‘Star Trek’ Theme Played on a Theremin
space
Empress Eve   |  @   |

Check out this video of the Star Trek original television series theme played on a Theremin, digitally inserted into a scene in the Enterprise’s transporter room.

The Theremin, invented by Russian physicist Léon Theremin in 1919, was one of the first electronic musical instruments, and is played without ever touching it — very futuristic and perfect for the Alexander Courage’s classic Star Trek theme.

Thanks to reader Rodney C. for the tip.
