Iconic actor Christopher Lee is now Sir Christopher Lee.
In a ceremony held on October 30 at Buckingham Palace, the legendary actor was knighted by Prince Charles of England on behalf of his mother, the Queen of England.
Lee’s knighthood was announced in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in June 2009.
The 87-year-old British actor began his film career in 1948, but in 1958 he really made his mark on pop culture playing Count Dracula in Dracula. Lee has played many memorable roles over the years, like Lord Summerisle in the original Wicker Man, but he’s best known by today’s audiences as Count Dooku from the Star Wars prequels and the wizard Saruman from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Lee will star next in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland as The Jabberwock.

My heart skipped half a beat because I immediately thought it was going to say “Legendary Actor Christoper Lee had Died.”
Then I remembered he’s damn near 90 and that shouldn’t be terribly surprising.
