Marvel Animation looks like they have a hit on their hands with BET’s Black Panther. Well, at least a hit intro, that is.
There are some really big names attached to this project and I’m salivating at the chance to see it here in the United States. The series is written and co-produced by Reginald Hudlin. Djimon Hounsou voices Black Panther/T’Challa, king of the African nation of Wakanda. Stan Lee provides the voice of General Wallace, JB Blanc voices The Black Knight and Batroc, Kerry Washington voices Princess Shuri, and Jill Scott provides the voice of Storm.
If you’re a huge fan of artist John Romita Jr, you will no doubt love the art used in this intro, based off the “Who Is the Black Panther?” arc by Hudlin and Romita JR.
Unfortunately, unless you’re a crocodile or Kangaroo Jack, you can only watch the intro to the series, which is now online — watch it here below. The series premiered this month on ABC3, an Australian children’s channel and currently has no air date or network set for the U.S.

Ok, I’m intrigued.
Unlike DC characters a soaring orchestral theme does not work well with marvel characters.. this music kicks ass .. much like spectacular spiderman.
Can’t wait.
