‘Firefly: Still Flying’ On The Way With New Stories, Images & Artwork
  |  @   |

A brand new book is being released by Titan Books, and it will be called Firefly: Still Flying.

That’s right, yet another way for the Browncoats of the world to continue their love affair with one of the best science fiction shows we’ve ever had the good fortune of meeting, Firefly.

This new book will offer many new and unseen images and pieces of artwork from the show, and it will include reflections from the cast on their experiences on Firefly and a dedication to we the fans. But the real selling point is the inclusion of four new short stories, written by the hands of some of Firefly‘s wonderful writing staff.

New stories will include “What Holds Us Down” by the always-brilliant Jane Espenson, “Crystal” by Brett Matthews, “Take The Sky” by Jose Molina, and even an illustrated story by Ben Edland called “Fun With Dick And Jayne” to enjoy.

Here’s a little rundown of what you’ll see:

Memories from the cast and crew, a tribute to the Browncoats, and even a feature on Nathan Fillion‘s legendary practical jokes, Still Flying is illustrated throughout with a wealth of rare and previously unpublished images, including storyboards, production design art and candid behind-the-scenes photos – including an on-set shot of the last ever scene filmed for Firefly.

As with everything Firefly related, including the comics and companions that have been released, we should all be buying this immediately. The more stuff like this sells, the more of an eye will you catch from the men who make big important TV/DVD decisions.

Firefly: Still Flying will be released on May 25, 2010.
