There are some great deals on Star Trek Blu-ray editions this month, including the entire original television series box sets, as well as a few selections from the film series.

Obviously, if you are near a Best Buy, you can save a few bucks. You can either visit the store, or first order online and select “store pick-up” then go pick up your reserve items. Otherwise, you have to add in the shipping cost (for example, the cost per Blu-ray to ship to me was $2.49 each item from Best Buy). Amazon’s prices are around $2 higher, but they offer free shipping on orders of $25 or more (and if you are an Amazon Prime member, you get free 2-day shipping).

Of note: I noticed that the four aforementioned Blu-ray titles are the only Star Trek movies from the first 10 films that are available as single blu-ray editions in the United States. Otherwise, you have to purchase two box sets in order to get all 10 films on Blu-ray.

If you don’t already own the original six Star Trek movies on Blu-ray, but you’d like to, your best bet is to get the Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection Blu-ray Box Set, which is $74.99 right now, which comes out to only $12.50 each title (plus, it comes with a bonus disc). If you want all four Next Generation films, the Star Trek: The Next Generation Motion Picture Collection Blu-ray Box Set is currently priced at $56.99, which comes out to $14.25 per title.
