First Poster For ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ Shows Off Captive Jack Black
  |  @   |

The first poster for the upcoming latest adaptation of Jonathan Swift‘s classic tale, Gulliver’s Travels, has been released by 20th Century Fox. The poster shows off one of the more familiar situations anyone who has seen or read any version of the story should be familiar with: a giant Gulliver, captured and tied down by many time people.

The movie will tell the story of Lemuel Gulliver (Jack Black), an adventure-loving writer who while on an assignment to the dreaded Bermuda Triangle, washes up on the shores of Lilliput “” a whole new world where the people are equal in their evolution, but just so happen to be incredibly small as well.

Careful not to step on anyone, and head on over to the other side to check out the first poster for Gulliver’s Travels!

The movie is directed by Rob Letterman (Shark Tale, Monsters vs. Aliens) and written by Joe Stillman (Beavis and Butt-Head, Shrek) and Nicholas Stoller, who recently re-joined Letterman on Stretch Armstrong. Also starring is Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, Sunshine Cleaning) as a native Lilliput princess, Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I Love You, Man) as Horatio, Billy Connolly (The Boondock Saints, The Last Samurai) as the King of Lilliputia, and Amanda Peete.

Gulliver’s Travels is set for a December 22, 2010 release date.

  1. Poster artists need to lay off the facial ‘shopping. It makes specimens like this one border on super creepy.
