First Look At Ryan Reynolds In Full ‘Green Lantern’ Attire
  |  @   |

One of the big non-Marvel comic book movies that’s currently on the way is of course Green Lantern. Today brings a little gift in the first peek of star Ryan Reynolds fully “dressed” up as the Lantern. I note the dressed because if you’ve not heard yet, the entire costume will actually be digitally added instead of actually producing a physical suit to wear.

It remains to be seen if this digital idea will be a disaster or not, but this first image will at least give you some sort of idea. The suit looks like a fully green take on a skinless human being’s muscle structure with the logo placed in its usual center position. The image does look like a heavy photoshop job and it will probably look a lot better once post production has reached completion, but for now it’s a solid peek for curious fans.

Continue on over to get your first look at Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern!

  1. GROSS!!!!

The Green Lantern costume should look like something similar to what Alex Ross created for Kingdom Come; more armor, more hands on design, more practicality. Not something that looks like Slimer had vomited over Reynolds. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP!!

  3. @Devon you are probably one of the only people on Earth that thinks he should look like that awful look from Kingdom Come. This is a good start. The GL costume is supposed to look like light is pouring out of your entire body. This is a good take on it. Read Secret Origins for more details. I think its issue 4 or 5 where people see GL and you can see what he looks like to people around him. Its obviously based on that kind of a concept, which is a pretty awesome place to start. This is over a year before the movie comes out, of course its going to look better later.
My only gripe (since its FAR too early to be critical) is that this picture looks more a superpowered Dane Cook, which is WAY scarier than if GL is turned into a dud of a movie.

  7. yeah, like by some dick with a sports jacket, jeans, and grey ponytail under a felt ballcap to hide his bald spot that who could give a shit less about comics or GL.And is focused on how pimp GL action figures, underware, fruit snacks before he even saw a script.
Hell they already greenlit (no pun intended) a GL II, so obviosuly they could give a shit less the fans.
I’m tempted to start a boycott against these shitty comic movies they churn out not to please us but just cash in on us.that’s the only way they’ll actually start paying attention to quality.
