‘Star Wars’ Fans Get One Last Star Tours Ride Before Move To New Location
  |

During Celebration V in Orlando this past weekend Star Wars fans were given the chance to take one final ride to the forest moon of Endor with Disney’s “Last Tour to Endor”.

This is the final year the original Star Tours will be operating until the new ride is unveiled in 2011. The new destination for the new Star Tours has not been revealed yet, but the people at Lucasfilm and Disney are hard at work on it. If you’re interested in taking part in the old ride before it’s gone forever, you can head here to learn where and how.

Continue reading to see a video released for the new ride.

The wonderful people at Disney gave their park insiders a promotional video for the new and improved ride. This video felt like a travel promo for a package that would take travelers on a getaway to Cloud City on Bespin, the forest moon of Endor, and the peaceful planet of Alderaan. This new video does not reveal a new location for the tour itself, but Disney and Lucasfilm have told fans that it will take place in between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy. That means that it could go to any place within the Star Wars galaxy maybe a planet not mentioned in the films but featured in the expanded universe.

All we can say is that we are so excited for the new ride next year and the destination it will be taking travelers to. Let us know what planet you would like to see the new ride go to.

  1. Star Tours II will have multiple destinations, which will be randomly generated. Therefore, you may never experience the same ride twice. The video just shows a sample of the destinations, but there will be more.
