Amazon is offering up Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan director’s cut for purchase for only $3.99 through their Video On Demand service.
This digital deal is only for today, Tuesday, September 7, beginning at midnight PST and runs for 24 hours, so grab it while you can. The digital version is regularly $9.99, and the 24-hour rental is $2.99.
The movie is the second in the Star Trek film franchise and sees the return of William Shatner as James T. Kirk and Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock, along with other members of the original cast. Ricardo Montalban reprises his guest role from the television series as Khan, and the film introduces a young Kirstie Alley as Lt. Saavik.
Aided by his exiled band of genetic supermen, Khan (Ricardo Montalban)–brilliant renegade of 20th century Earth–has raided Space Station Regula One, stolen a top secret device called Project Genesis, wrested control of another Federation starship, and now schemes to set a most deadly trap for his old enemy Kirk…with the threat of a universal Armageddon!
This is one of my favorite movies of all time, and is my favorite among all the Star Trek films, so I highly recommend getting this today for the discount.
Visit the Video on Demand page to learn more about the service (you can stream the film right on your computer, or download it to you PC, and more).
