Teaser Trailer For Pixar Animation’s ‘Cars 2’ Is Online
  |  @   |

Last month, a very brief logo reveal trailer showed up for Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation’s sequel, Cars 2. For fans of the first movie and those looking forward to the sequel, it was nice to see just a little something, but let’s be honest here, actual trailers are always more exciting.

The first teaser trailer for Cars 2 is now here to be seen via Yahoo! Movies, and while it too is fairly short, it does show us a lot more and offers a better idea of where the follow-up to 2006’s Cars will go.

This time around, Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is off to compete in a race to determine the fastest car on the planet, but the movie sounds like it will focus on perhaps the most popular character from the original, Mater (Larry the Cable Guy), who finds himself caught up in a very James Bond-like adventure.

You can head over to the other side now to read a full synopsis of the movie and check out the teaser trailer for yourself!

Cars 2 will be released on June 24, 2011.

SYNOPSIS

Star racecar Lightning McQueen and the incomparable tow truck Mater take their friendship to exciting new places when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.

Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater’s action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colorful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.

  2. Looks like it’ll be another quality Pixar film. In all seriousness, if they are going to keep up the sequels, can we have an Incredibles 2? Please Pixar?
