Joss when I heard the news I was excited because I thought it was a come back of all the characters I loved growing up; when I found out it was not even going to be done by you and the chance of any of the old characters coming back being no existent as it were I lost all interest I am sure that you are not thrilled for your work to be redone. I do agree though on how you mentioned no ill will to the new people involved, but it is a sad day. I rather remember Buffy the Vampire Slayer with all the characters I’d grown to love and all the life lessons you weaved into and fantastic story line. Now if you ever do a movie with you at the steering wheel and all the old characters I will be on board 120% to see that with a smile on my face. You truly are a visionary for these sad times. Best Wishes

people who know that Buffy IS Whedon probably won’t see the movie.

and the younger generation? aren’t they more interested in flirting with vampires than slaying them? will they even care about a vampire who doesn’t sparkle?

I’m gonna go watch some REAL Buffy on netflix.
