“Christmas Party” has the makings of a classic episode of The Office. What starts out as an attempt to make a fun Christmas party, soon spirals out of control due to Michael’s desperate needs to appease those around him. The Jim and Pam subplot is also one of better Jim and Pam stories. Overall, the episode nails the feeling of a corporate office party gone awry.
Episode Summary:
The office throws a Secret Santas Christmas party. Jim, having put a lot of effort into finding a gift for Pam, gets upset when Michael makes everyone play Yankee Swap, and an iPod that Michael purchased becomes the must have object of the game. When the party begins to go south, Michael breaks company policy and provides alcohol for the entire office.
