Geek Crafts: Make Your Own Moving Rorschach Mask From ‘Watchmen’
  |  @   |

If you’ve read the classic Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons graphic novel, Watchmen, or seen director Zack Snyder’s fantastic cinematic adaptation, then you’re familiar with the enigma himself, Rorschach.

Rorschach is a hero in most definitions of the word, out to rid the world of all the evil that taints it, though his methods are quite extreme and sometimes questioned. He stands out due to his iconic mask, a simple white with a blot of ink inspired by the psychiatric test of the same name that changes and moves depending on the hero’s mood.

You might have never thought you would read these words, but as it turns out, someone that goes by guinness0507 on YouTube figured out a way to make that very mask…WITH the ability to alter the “ink” as you wear it.

Be sure to head on over to the other side to see a brief video that shows you how you too can make your very own Rorschach mask from Watchmen.

Unfortunately, this mask doesn’t move quite like it does in the comic and movie and it doesn’t work with your current emotional state. That said, it is still very cool looking and would have you standing out at the next Halloween party!

The only once concern I have is all that breathing in and out. I don’t know what goes into this concoction exactly or how damaging it could be to inhale through the mask, so approach with caution!
