Urgh… somehow, this didn’t capture the vibe of the the British original at all.
Here, we have season three starting this sunday (yay!)

I wasn’t going to watch the American version of Being Human but I did. What a waste. BBC’s Being Human is far superior to the drivel on SyFy. I will just buy the British Seasons as they come out. Mitchell you sexy beast, George you wild man and Quirky Annie are so much better

Couldn’t agree more with the 2 posts above mine! My sister and I have been loyal followers of the BBC version since it started & this one is nothing like it in terms of quality. So excited for season 3!! I’ll take British sci-fi any day of the week =)

it’s a big stinker that’s what it is. One episode is enough! Don’t mess with the original!

Sigh… Completely agreeing with all of the above… yet another instance where US TV producers see a successful, witty and well done British show and proceed to make a poorly conceived and poorly orchestrated remake.
For another example, see MTV’s “New” show Skins. The BBC Skins was fantastic… MTV: looks like a fictionalized “16 and Pregnant” to me… :(
Next thing you know, we’ll have the Americanized Bastardization of Doctor Who. They already talked about an American Torchwood…

Unfortunately they don’t seem to be very god at maintaining the quality of the story lines and quirkiness of the characters when they rework British programs for the US. This appears not to be an exception. I like the UK version but not off to a good start with the US version. The characters are less appealing.
