The Big 4 - U.S. Tour

Looks like The Big 4 metal tour will be making its way to the United States!

Who are The Big 4? Oh, only the greatest metal bands of all time — Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax — touring together on the same bill! Back in June, the thrash metal giants did a two-week stint in Europe, using footage from one of the shows for a DVD/Blu-ray release titled The Big Four: Live From Sofia, Bulgaria. At the time, it seemed that this would be a once-in-a-lifetime event, but now the tour plans to expand to other parts of Europe this Summer AND into the United States, too!

Teaser images have appeared on the bands’ respective websites and Facebook pages, promising news for an upcoming U.S. tour. One image has The Big 4 pick logo with the backdrop of the American flag; the other image has the design background of Metallica’s …And Justice For All album cover with the words, “America, your prayers demands were answered!” with the four respective band logos and the Big 4 logo beneath it, with the promise of more details to come tomorrow.

A new Facebook page for the tour was launched today at Facebook.com/TheBig4, so head on over and give it a “Like” to follow its feed.

We’ll be back tomorrow with more details of the U.S. tour, and you can bet your ass I’ll be seeing a show or two on this tour!

  2. This is the best news I have ever heard of in a long, LONG time. When the Big 4 were doing their European tour, I looked further into it and found that there was going to be a slim chance that they were coming to the U.S. This article has proved that the Big 4 has gotten even more amazing! Expect me to be the first to buy tickets for my friends, family and I! :D

  4. Does anyone know why Slayer was not included in the “Am I Evil” song at the end? It looks like all bands were represented except for Slayer.

  5. They were, just not the whole band. Kerry King sat it out because he had to start work on editing footage. Jeff and Tom were involved.
