Check Out The First Full Trailer For James Gunn’s ‘Super’

The first full trailer for James Gunn‘s Super is now online.

Check out the trailer here below.

The film stars Rainn Wilson as Frank D’Arbo, an ordinary man who transforms himself into a crimefighting superhero called Crimson Bolt after his wife (Liv Tyler) leaves him for a drug dealer (Kevin Bacon). While not the best superhero, Frank has at least one person who believes in him — a young girl named Libby (Ellen Page) who becomes his “kid sidekick” Boltie. Nathan Fillion also stars as the superhero The Holy Avenger.

In our coverage of the Super Panel at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, where the audience was treated to some footage to the film, we noted its similarity to Kick-Ass, another movie about an original guy who becomes a masked vigilante. In this new trailer for Super, the similarities between the two movies are still apparent, though Super appears to be more grounded in reality.

Super hits theaters on April, 1 2011.
