ComiXology is running a sale for the next two days on their critically acclaimed series, Irredeemable.

From now until Thursday April 21, 2011 at 11pm EST, you can get each issue of Mark Waid and Peter Krause‘s tale of a Superman-like hero who goes bad for only $.99 an issue. You can check out this great deal through the Comics by comiXology app, the exclusive BOOM! Studios app, on comiXology’s web page, or on their Android app. Issues 1 through 23 are available to read now.

Also, if you’d rather have a physical copy, the Irredeemable: Volume 1 trade paperback, which contains issues #1-4, has been discounted to only $4.

If you haven’t heard of Irredeemable before, it is the story of the Plutonian, a superhero in the vein of Superman, who has spent a lifetime protecting the Earth, until one day he snaps and decides that humanity needs a good wake-up slap. He begins by taking out his former teammates who are the biggest threat to him.

The story is a unique take on the superhero genre, and has featured a number of big surprises throughout the run. If you haven’t picked up the series yet, this is a great way to get caught up, so go out and take a look at this series.
