Watch Now: Official Trailer For ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’
  |

After many months of waiting, the official trailer for Torchwood: Miracle Day has arrived online! You can view the preview at the bottom of this post.

Torchwood, a spin-off from Doctor Who, follows the adventures of Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) as they defend the world from alien threats.

The new series, Miracle Day, sends Harkness and Cooper beyond Cardiff, Wales, and into the United States, where they come across CIA Agent Rex Matheson (Mekhi Phifer) and others as they investigate a bizarre new problem facing the human race: nobody is dying. Also joining the cast for Torchwood: Miracle Day is Kai Owen, Alexa Havins, Bill Pullman, and Lauren Ambrose.

The new trailer came as a big surprise to me – because it feels so cinematic. Upon viewing, it really doesn’t feel like a TV series, it feels like a movie event of some kind, which is credit to showrunner Russell T. Davies and the BBC/Starz crew.

And who can’t be excited about hearing the line “Hi, I’m Captain Jack Harkness. Nice to meet you” again? I’m sure all the Doctor Who fans shouted “Stop flirting!” when that came up in the trailer!

  2. I’ve only seen a handful of Torchwood episodes but this seems interesting in this.  Is this going to be considered like a revamp to the series or is just continuing where the last season would have left off?

  3. It continues from the previous seasons, but I’m pretty sure it will be easy to pick up and move along with.  It’s about a group of people defending the Earth from alien threats, they’re called Torchwood, and they’re lead by an immortal omnisexual dude called Captain Jack Harkness.  It’s pure awesomeness.
