Early Look: ‘Uncanny X-Force #14’ Continues The Dark Angel Saga

Opinions vary a great deal when it comes to the quality of the mutant books in the Marvel Universe these days. Rick Remender, Jerome Opeña, and Dean White are working together to craft some real drama and excitement in an X book that isn’t X-Men; it’s an X-Force series. The story arc title, Dark Angel, is purposefully misleading. When old school X heads hear Dark Angel they think Dark Phoenix, but this story focuses on Archangel.

Uncanny X-Force #14 finds the team trying to save Archangel from completely losing his soul to evil. We have some early pages from the issue for you to check out, but be warned there are potential story spoilers in these pages so check out the art at your own risk.

Uncanny X-Force #14 will be released on September 14, 2011.

  1. WOW!! This looks prettydamngood … I don’t often go in for hero comics, more often then not because the artwork is pretty poor and un-inspiring, pumped out to tight deadlines like a hollow factory press, and I’m more of an indie type of guy really.
HOWEVER! This reminds me of a couple of things and in a most pleasant way, Travis Charest for one (whos work I am still a big fan of, even when some feel he’s stuck in a rut), and the expression of space and perspective is a little bit like Mobeus style (what more do I need to say about such an important and influential figure).

YES! I believe I will endeavour to purchase this series as these images have roped me with no trouble at all.
