Johnny Knoxville and Patton Oswalt Join David Gordon Green-Produced Comedy

Despite being a part of some genuinely mediocre projects, Johnny Knoxville appears to be as hot a comedic property as ever.

Big Beach Films has announced that Knoxville and fellow comedian Patton Oswalt will star in a new yet-to-be-titled film from director Todd Rohal. The movie will follow the story of a “pair of battling brothers who attempt to honor their ailing father by taking a troop of boys on a last ditch camping trip that goes wildly wrong.” Maura Tierney, Patrice O’Neal, and Rob Riggle will co-star.

I had the chance to see Rohal’s latest film, The Catechism Cataclysm, and found it to be absolutely dreadful, but this new film will see David Gordon Green as one of its producers, making it a much more appealing project. Catechism is an awful comedy that is neither engaging nor comedic, but with this cast, and Green as a producer, there is definitely a lot to be excited for.

What do you think?
