Clive Barker Says New ‘Hellraiser’ Sequel Is No Child Of His
  |  @   |

Remember that trailer for the upcoming low-budget sequel Hellraiser: Revelations, the ninth installment in the totally-run-its-course Hellraiser film franchise?

Well, Hellraiser creator Clive Barker saw the new trailer and took to Twitter to make sure everyone knows that not only does this new offering NOT come from his mind, but that it doesn’t even come from his ass.

Hello,my friends. I want to put on record that the flic out there using the word Hellraiser IS NO FUCKIN’ CHILD OF MINE!

I have NOTHING to do with the fuckin’ thing. If they claim its from the mind of Clive Barker,it’s a lie. It’s not even from my butt-hole.

The original Hellraiser film was from the author’s brilliant mind, as it was based on his novella The Hellbound Heart and the writer even directed the 1987 big-screen adaptation.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Barker several times (GoD headquarters is filled with signed Clive Barker books), and what he tweeted this week about the new movie is tame in comparison to what he told me he thinks of the long line of Hellraiser direct-to-DVD sequels. He’s said before that he really doesn’t want people to think he has anything to do with them (can you blame him?).

Barker is still involved in the Hellraiser franchise though. The author is currently co-writing a Hellraiser comic book series for BOOM! Studios, which saw its first issue released back in March.
