New Trailer For ‘The Skin I Live In’ Hits
  |

Better known for melodramas like Volver, director Pedro Almodovar has stepped as far out of his comfort zone as possible for his next film, The Skin I Live In. And based on this trailer, it’s a step that the auteur known only by his last name should take more often.

A new trailer for the hotly anticipated film has hit, and it’s a real winner. Check it out here below. I’ve had the chance to actually see The Skin I Live In, way back at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, and this trailer is more than telling of the actual film.

Following the story of a vengeful surgeon out to take down the man who raped his daughter, the film is a thriller unlike any I’ve seen in quite some time, and yet holds many of the director’s stylistic and thematic ques. It’s as if Almodovar teamed up with the brain of David Cronenberg to make a new film. And yes, it’s as good as that description sounds.
