Last week, comiXology announced a 3-day sale that had the first 12 issues of Nick Spencer and Joe Eisma‘s Morning Glories for half off, meaning that each issue was only 99 cents. Unfortunately, that sale ended… but then it was extended to last until October 13!
Want to know what the comic is about? Morning Glories is kind of a combination between The Breakfast Club and Lost written by Nick Spencer with art by Joe Eisma. I know that sounds insane, and it is, but that insanity doesn’t mean it’s not awesome, because it is. The comic is about a group of hyper-talented, troubled teenagers that were all born on the same day who are recruited by the Morning Glories Academy, a boarding school that’s clearly hiding something. What are they hiding? Well, you’re going to have to go to either comiXology, or pick up that mobile device of yours to find out.
A whole-heartedly endorse Morning Glories, and this is a great deal. So, you won’t regret spending the $11 to pick up the first 12 issues.
