It’s about damn time these two make up their minds.
With various projects being tossed around, be it a new Robin Hood film or an Iraq War drama, the pair known as the Wachowskis have finally decided on what their next project will be. Deadline is reporting that, with the shooting of their next film, Cloud Atlas, ending soon, the pair will next helm a project entitled Jupiter Ascending.
The film is apparently franchise material, with a big name star being looked at to lead the picture. That, at this point, is all we know. WB will be behind the film, and details at this point are being held under strict lock and key, but will shoot in spring of 2012.
As a fan of much of the pair’s work, I am really excited to see what they have to offer here. I had been holding out hope that their Iraq drama would shoot next, simple because the idea of the two working on a drama like that, with a gay romance involved, would be really intriguing, for a cavalcade of reasons. However, this film also sounds quite enticing, so here’s to hoping it can live up to the potential it truly has.
