WB Hires Writer For ‘Sherlock Holmes 3’

Where there’s one sequel, there is likely to be even more. And while Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows hasn’t even hit theaters yet, WB is looking to move forward on a third film in the burgeoning franchise.

Deadline is reporting that WB has tapped Drew Pearce to pen a third film in the franchise, which is interesting, if only for the fact that Pearce is also the man behind the pen for the third film in the Iron Man franchise.

While I’m not too keen on this franchise, I did enjoy the first film, so hopefully the upcoming second film will live up to the potential that the first one surpassed, and will lead into this third film which will hopefully do the same.  No one has been signed on to return, but WB definitely doesn’t want this cash cow to die, so don’t be shocked if everyone gets some fiscal love from the higher ups at the studio to get them back in front of the camera really soon.
