Know Your Pop Culture Vampires With the Help Of This Cool Infographic
  |

For all you vampire fanatics out there, artist Ben Douglass has created this pretty nifty and chuckle-worthy infographic that showcases 12 of the most famous vampires of film, television, and breakfast cereals.

You can check out the full image here below.

Here you’ll find practically every iconic bloodsucker unleashed since Bram Stoker wrote Dracula more than a century ago. I love that Count Orlok, the vampire from the 1922 silent horror classic Nosferatu, is named “The Knockoff” since that’s technically what he is (Nosferatu was originally supposed to be an adaptation of Dracula, but the filmmakers couldn’t afford the rights, so they changed all the character names in the script and altered the appearance of their frightening villain). In a strange but intentional twist of fate, the vampire Barlow in the 1979 TV movie adaptation of Stephen King’s novel Salem’s Lot was designed to resemble Count Orlok, who was by then almost as iconic a presence in the horror world as Bela Lugosi’s interpretation of Dracula.

But I see that none of the vampires from the classic Near Dark were included, but the Kate Beckinsale character from Underworld made the cut. Not cool at all.

You can purchase prints of Douglass’ infographic in various sizes here.
