Amazon is currently running a deal through the end of the month on MP3 albums in their 100 Albums for $5 Each sale.
One of the $5 albums is the classic self-titled debut album from Rage Against The Machine that contains some of the band’s most well known tunes, including “Bombtrack,” “Know Your Enemy,” and of course, “Killing In The Name.”
The epic song “Killing In The Name” that firmly planted the band on the map of rock history, was a defining battle cry for that generation of metalheads and alternative music fans: “FUCK YOU, I WON’T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!” Coupled with the rebellious cry against authority, Rage Against The Machine brought an awareness of political ideas that previously had not been brought to the forefront of awareness in the metal community since the days of hardcore punk acts such as Dead Kennedys.
The current listing for the debut album from Rage Against The Machine, shows that the MP3s are available individually for either $0.99 or $1.29 – meaning that buying the album for $5 is getting you all those MP3s for LESS than half the price. That’s a pretty good deal, considering that I’d pay more than 5 bucks for such a classic and defining piece of rock/metal history right there.
You can see the full track listing below – this sale ends on October 31, 2011 at 11:59pm PST. Be sure to check out this deal for other albums available for only $5.
