The Evil Dead would spawn two sequels (the first, Evil Dead II, is my favorite movie of all time) and a franchise of comic books, video games, and action figures, and ultimately become as memorable and important an inspiration to a generation of genre filmmakers as the horror movies of yesteryear were on Raimi and his creative team and cast.

The entire series desires to be celebrated in grand style and Nick Bosworth over at Joblo.com is just the gentleman to do such a celebration justice. Bosworth has created a video tribute to the series and its iconic blue collar demon slayer Ash (played by Campbell in the role that would define his career) comprised of clips from the Evil Dead trilogy and set the montage to selections from Joseph LoDuca’s score from the films and a very special Queen tune that fans of Shaun of the Dead (one of many films that likely would never exist if it weren’t for Raimi’s trilogy) will no doubt recognize.
