Everyone loves really cryptic teaser posters, right?

Joking aside, that’s exactly what we’ve got thanks to Moviefone today. The outlet has released the first poster for the upcoming Denzel Washington film, Safe House, and while it’s not much to look at, it’s sure not tough to stare at.

The film stars Washington and Ryan Reynolds, with the latter playing a guardian for Washington’s CIA agent under house arrest. Directed by Snabba Cash helmer Daniel Espinosa, this is the filmmaker’s first major Hollywood project, and is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Everyone loves it when their Denzel is a bit darker, and this project appears to be just that. I’m a huge fan of the actor’s broodier roles, and while this may not be his darkest, this sure will be a fun ride. Toss in Reynolds, and you have a cast to really beat. The film hits next year.
