Watch Now: ‘Sherlock Holmes – A Game of Shadows’ New Featurette
  |

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new featurette for their upcoming holiday release Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and you can watch it here below.

Robert Downey Jr. once again assumes the title role of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous literary sleuth in this sequel to 2009’s Guy Ritchie-directed smash hit mystery-adventure, with Jude Law reprising his role of Holmes’ faithful but constantly put-upon compatriot Dr. John Watson.

This time around the duo matches wits with their greatest adversary, Professor James Moriarty (played by Mad Men‘s Jared Harris). Along for the ride are Noomi Rapace of the original The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as a Gypsy fortune teller, actor-author-raconteur Stephen Fry as Holmes’ brother Mycroft, and Rachel McAdams returning as the detective’s crafty love interest Irene Adler.

The featurette mostly consists of footage from the film intercut with interviews with Downey, Law, and Ritchie and behind-the-scenes footage. The original flick didn’t exactly leave me wanting more but it was a witty and entertaining adventure and Downey is a good fit for these intelligent yet quirky action hero parts.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows opens on December 16, 2011.
