The Second Teaser Poster For ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Revealed
  |

Warner Brothers has released the second teaser poster for Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises via the movie’s official site on Saturday.

In this poster, we see the likes of Tom Hardy‘s Bane walking away in the rain with his back turned towards the shattered remains of Batman’s mask. The phrase at the top reads “The Legend Ends” in a haunting white font that seems to suggest that the story of The Bat has come to its conclusion, while the title of the film at the bottom suggests something entirely different — something more along the lines of a fight to regain The Batman’s heroic status.

In my opinion, this teaser gives us a far better look into the themes of the movie which until this point has not solidified its place in my mind. I trusted that The Dark Knight Rises would be great, but now my excitement has tripled. Destruction, defeat, and determination all seem to be bleeding from all parts of the poster which sets this film’s tone apart from the prior Nolan Bat-films. Just look at the image. You have Bane and a Bat-mask that’s been broken to pieces. There’s also the newly designed Bat-symbol that appears as broken glass. In this sequel, I have absolutely no doubt that Batman will be defeated, but as the film’s title suggests, The Dark Knight will rise from the ashes. I’ve been excited about this movie since I walked out of the theater that was playing The Dark Knight, but not as excited as I am now.

Now, if you want to get as excited as I am, then all you need to do is clickity clack on the image here below to get the much larger version of the poster-formatted image.
