Sequels To ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ To Shoot Back To Back?
  |

As the first film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, gets ready to make its public debut tonight (a day early), eyes are pointed on director David Fincher, and what he may or may not do in the future, especially with regards to his future within this specific franchise.

At a press conference, the director revealed that, if he were to shoot the sequels, that since the final two books are “very much one story,” the films would ultimately be shot back to back.

Now, this has a bit in its way, as Fincher plans to shoot 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea for Disney as his next film (at least according to IMDb), so it remains to be seen as to just when these pieces would shoot. Toss in the fact that a two-and-a-half hour long film won’t be the most appealing flick for audiences to flock to this stuffy Christmas week, and you have a franchise that may not ultimately bring the biggest box office draw ever. However, if the reviews are to be believed, we are in for something special.

What do you think?
