Here We Go Again: ‘Social Blend’ Podcast Travels Back To The Music Of 1987

You might recall recently, on the last day of 2011, we had a look at the music from 25 years ago – our personal choices from the albums of 1986.

Now we’re into 2012, the Social Blend podcast has decided to look at the music from 25 years before now: 1987 in music, which was a huge years for the rock and metal scenes.

Craniumelody, which is the music issue of the SB podcast, travels back in the time machine with some tunes from 1987 – including The Cult, Choirboys, Celtic Frost, Midnight Oil, Grateful Dead, Sonic Youth, and more.

Musician Corey Koehler joins Jay Fowler and I as we spin the tunes, also chat about the year that was 1987. We take a look at the movies that came out that year, the big news events, the television shows, and video gaming as well.

Social Blend is the podcast we’ve been doing since 2008. Geeks of Doom’s TARDISblend (Doctor Who podcast), is a sister show to Social Blend.

You can listen in to the entire podcast at Social-Blend.com, or by subscribing to the show via iTunes.
