A movie about the story of Noah and his ark from Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky has been floating around out there for a while now, but it’s been taking its time getting moving forward.
Nothing is official as of yet, but Aronofsky has shared who he would like to cast in his movie, which is simply titled Noah. According to sources, the director wants to bring in none other than Russell Crowe to play Noah in the biblical epic.
Aronofsky also wants to acquire the talents of The Grey star Liam Neeson for another role in the movie.
Even if Crowe doesn’t work out, gaining the attention of someone like Neeson is a smart move as, if you ask me, he would also make himself a solid Noah.
The script, which was originally penned by Aronofsky and Ari Handel, has since been rewritten by three-time Academy Award nominee (Gladiator, The Aviator, and current nominee Hugo) John Logan. The writer has also worked on the screenplays for The Last Samurai, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and upcoming titles like Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln and the latest James Bond entry, Skyfall.
