As the film nears its long awaited November release date, we finally have our first look at the upcoming return of James Bond, Skyfall, and it’s a killer.

The James Bond Facebook page has released the first photo from the film, which itself has been in purgatory for seemingly years now, particularly following a long and much talked about battle over at MGM. However, all roads are leading to the film’s release later this year, and with this photo, hopes couldn’t be higher.

Sam Mendes is directing the film, which itself makes this writer both cautiously optimistic and just genuinely excited. Mendes hasn’t had much work within the action genre, but then again, Bond films, at their best, don’t solely rely upon the action chops of its director. Toss in a really great cast, lead by Bond himself Daniel Craig, and you have a film that may have had a troubled past, but has one hell of a future.
