Watch the Original and Extended ‘John Carter’ Super Bowl TV Spots
  |

Walt Disney Pictures premiered a new television spot for their upcoming big-budget sci-fi adventure John Carter last night during the Super Bowl and later released an extended version of the preview online.

You can watch both videos here below.

Both versions of the preview begin with a montage of scenes from John Carter that slowly reveal to form the film’s title, which would be a kick to watch if not for the fact that both the title and the logo font are awful. Go with the extended spot which delivers lots more action, sumptuous Martian vistas, and leapin’ Taylor Kitsch a-plenty!

John Carter opens on March 9, 2012.

  1. As a fan of the John Carter of Mars books, I was excited to see that this was finally being turned into a movie (or maybe movies). But after watching this latest trailer, I’m a little concerned about the direction they might be going with the movie. There were a couple of lines uttered in the trailer that have me worried. But since those lines weren’t in context, I’ll reserve judgement until I see the movie.
