NBC’s ‘Red Dragon’ Series ‘Hannibal’ Gets Season Order
  |

That didn’t take too long. Not at all.

THR is reporting that NBC has gone ahead and ordered a full season of the upcoming Bryan Fuller series, Hannibal, based on the characters from Thomas Harris’ iconic crime novel, Red Dragon.

The show is being described as “an hour-long contemporary thriller featuring characters from Harris’ best-seller, and revolves around FBI agent Will Graham and his mentor, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who are reintroduced at the beginning of their budding relationship.”

Ordered to a 13-episode season, the show will be written and executive produced by Fuller, making this definitely one of this year’s most anticipated TV projects. No launch date has been announced, but one has to expect that given this order, the show will hit relatively soon. I personally can’t wait for this show, given the great source material and just how great Fuller is as a show-runner. Hopefully this will be worth the wait.

What do you think?
