Prometheus, Ridley Scott‘s return to big ticket science-fiction, is fast approaching its early summer release date and the fan anticipation is mounting like a World Series pile-on. Adding to the excitement is the release of a new international teaser trailer, which you can watch here below.
Eagle-eyed viewers might be able to spot a few differences between this international teaser and the domestic teaser that premiered back in December and has since been re-edited into mash-up fan trailers with the likes of Alien (appropriate) and Wall-E (odd).
The only difference I noticed was the absence of title cards and the Prometheus logo forming on the screen very much in the same fashion as the Alien logo did in its advertising campaign and opening credits sequence, but any new Prometheus footage is a small occasion for mild celebration – even if that footage is little more than fleeting glimpses of potential greatness. Make no mistake folks, Prometheus is going to be one of the most talked-about films this year and a true summer movie event.
Prometheus will be released on June 8, 2012. I intend to be there opening day.
I am so very excited for this movie… I wish the trailers had a little more of a glimpse into what the movie is going to be like instead of just “fleeting glimpses”…
Now I just need to get back to building my flux capacitor so I can time travel to June to see this movie :P.
