$5 MP3 Album Deal: David Bowie’s Live In Santa Monica ’72

As part of Amazon’s monthly $5 MP3 album deals for February 2012, David Bowie‘s Live in Santa Monica “˜72 is on sale for only $5 and includes a booklet which you can download in PDF format.

If you’d like a physical copy of Live in Santa Monica “˜72, the CD version appears to be out of circulation, but it is available from various third-party sellers starting at $10.24.

Live in Santa Monica was recorded live at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium during Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust tour. Up until 1994, the album was only available as a bootleg, which was taken from a radio broadcast of the 1972 concert. It was considered the litmus test of a true Bowie fan to own the bootleg copy prior to its official release some 22 years later. The 18-track album contains such Bowie favorites as “Suffragette City,” “The Jean Genie,” and, of course, “Ziggy Stardust.”

Browse the main sale page to see the other 99 albums on sale for only $5 each in MP3 format through the end of February 2012 – but hurry, kids, it’s a short month!
